Camera source log checker
A downloadable tool
A small checker for camera research notes
Camera source log checker reads a local CSV and reports gaps in the notes you have collected about an IP camera. Keep a question, an answer and its source together before relying on a feature claim.
The file uses six columns: model, question, answer, source_url, checked_on and status. Mark each row documented, observed or unconfirmed. The checker reports missing fields, duplicate model/question pairs, invalid calendar dates and source URLs that contain login details.
Use the source files
The ZIP includes the Python script, eight tests, a README, an MIT license and a hypothetical example CSV. It requires Python 3.9 or later and uses the standard library. Unzip it and run python3 camera_source_log.py example.csv. Use your own CSV when you are ready; --json returns machine-readable findings.
The script reads local files. It does not connect to cameras, open the source URLs or confirm compatibility. Recheck the model manual and the conditions behind an answer when deciding whether it applies to your setup.
